  • IMPROVE Project Hosts 2nd Stakeholders’ Community Event on June 3, 2025 in Lecce: Advancing Value-Based Health Care.

This event will bring together European healthcare stakeholders to share progress and align on next steps for scaling value-based healthcare (VBHC) through digital innovation.

  • Report on Assessment of Stakeholder Requirements

Please download the specific document, which provides a detailed assessment of stakeholder needs and requirements gathered through qualitative interviews. Stakeholders interviewed include patients, clinicians, researchers, policy advisors, and technology providers across multiple use cases.

  • IMPROVE practices report and updates

In this document, you get insight of the existing practices identification, monitoring and assessment. We identify and analyse important practices across countries and regions, in order to develop a knowledge base of the existing practices that are conducted to develop methods or frameworks for collecting and using patient-generated health data.

    Project Aims

The IMPROVE project aims to make digital healthcare more efficient putting Patient-Generated Health Data on focus. Health Care Systems all over the European Union become increasingly digital. Medical doctors, pharmacists, researchers, politicians and other experts in the healthcare sector use and exchange a large number of patient-related health data.

But there are a lot of obstacles. The quality of the data exchange is not sufficient due to a lack of standards. Workflows and operating procedures are often not efficient which leads to problems in decision-making processes and patient treatments. Additionally, it increases the costs of health services.

To solve this problem, health experts from hospitals, research centres, universities, the health economy and politics implemented the research and innovation team of IMPROVE. The IMPROVE team will develop a platform where certain concepts of gathering and exchanging patient-generated health data will developed and tested in hospitals and different health areas.
